To inquire about a patient's condition, immediate family members are welcome to call the nursing station 24 hours a day, and speak to the nurse caring for the patient. Please identify yourself and give the patient's name.

To protect the patient’s privacy, condition reports are given only to immediate family members. In the case of children, this is the identified parents or legal guardians. It works best if one or two family members are designated to inquire about a patient's condition. These family members can then relay the information to others.

Friends must contact the family for information about a patient's condition. Condition reports are not given out by telephone for patients in Labor and Delivery.
