Our Aim:

To evolve our Magnet culture for excellence through the consistent evaluation of current efforts, review of new ideas and inclusion of innovative initiatives unique to our organization.

About Us:

Achieving Magnet designation in June 2003, ANMC is the first, and to date, the sole Magnet facility in Alaska. ANMC is also the "Northern Most" and first tribally managed Magnet in the nation. Magnet designation has brought increased responsibilities as well as continuous feeback and ideas from all levels. Recognizing that certian processes needed to be developed to accommodate this, the Nursing Coordinating Council chartered the Magnet Steering Committeee in April 2004. Through continous evaluation, review and inclusion, this evolving group helps keep focus on setting and raising the standards of excellence. Through synergy our leadership, staff and all departments remain vigilant innovators. This level of excellence continues to set ANMC apart from others and ensures continued recognition.
