Nursing Philosophy at ANMC

A unified nursing profession working within an environment of Nursing Excellence, as evidence by Magnet Status, with the Alaska Native people and other disciplines, to achieve holistic wellness and excellence in healthcare.

What's new in Nursing at ANMC?

The Legislative citation formally recognizing ANMC as the one and only Magnet facility in the state of Alaska and within IHS was formally presented during Nurses Week May 6th by Representative Anna Fairclough. A big thank you to other guests during the event including Dr. Jay Butler, Chief Medical Officer for the state, representing Governor Sarah Palin and Marge Larson, Special Assistant to the Mayor.

Magnet Champions are working to promote the Forces of Magnetism at ANMC. There are Magnet Champion retreats once per quarter. Magnet Champions have recently implemented a bi-annual back to school supply drive for school districts in remote Alaska.

Our evidence-based Practice Internship is underway, stay tuned for dates.
