Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) Grantee Sites

Alaska has 24 SDPI grantees around the state.  Some of these have additional sub-regional sites.  The monies for the grants were the result of the funds earmarked for diabetes prevention and treatment in Indian Country.    The grant period was originally for five years and was later extended to ten years, ending in 2008.    The balloons in the image below represent the Alaska grantee sites.

For more information on SDPI diabetes programs, contact statewide grant coordinators.  To find out what the sites are doing, follow the links to the tribes at the top of the page.
